Unavoidable Renunciation
Unavoidable Renunciation deals with the easily categorised and violently consumed images of myself as a female. The photos from my social media are judged and distorted only to emphasise the images as a female when being interpreted by others. Using a mannequin, the work seeks to express the violence of gaze and the inevitable struggles with it.
